penny lane is in my ears and in my eyes.

I woke up early and drove to campus so I could get a scantron and a new hangtag because mine was taken away with my totalled car. I get to the public safety office, where they tell me that I’ll have to pay another $30 for a new hangtag for parking even though I already paid for my parking tag at the beginning of the year for the entire year. Since I need a new 2 cent piece of fucking plastic, they’re trying to charge me again, on top of the $70 worth of tickets they gave me for parking in a visitors spot for class until I could get to public safety afterwards to get another hangtag. So I have to pay $100 for a new four inch piece of plastic, on top of the $30 I originally paid at the beginning of the year. To park on campus where I pay thousands upon thousands of dollars to each year. 

Obviously, I think this is fucking ridiculous. Which is exactly what I said “this is fucking ridiculous!” And lady behind the counter loses her shit calling in other officers and saying “don’t you come in here and curse at me!!” like a fucking WORD is so GOD DAMN offensive to her, but students suffering and not being able to pay their bills or put gas in the car or buy groceries, let alone pay outrageous fucking parking fees when it’s RIDICULOUS to think anyone owns the fucking LAND anyway is just a-okay! At that point, there was no reasoning with people who find words so offensive that they refuse to listen and address the suffering of their students because GOD FORBID she say the word “fuck” in a calm and rational tone. Having two ignorant old people lecture me on using the word “fuck” while they’re padding the university’s pockets with money I don’t have is not at the top of my favorites list, so I told them that “being offended by a fucking word is ridiculous when your students are suffering!” Then I started crying and stormed out.

I skipped my art class again because I just couldn’t stop crying.
